Ryan Reynolds Revealed As Latest Celebrity Ambassador for Yas Island
The ‘Deadpool’ star will be the latest celebrity responsible for promoting the destination to an international audience.
Following in the footsteps of Jason Mamoa and Kevin Hart, American movie star Ryan Reynolds has taken up the mantle of Yas Island chief island ambassador for Abu Dhabi. After some mystery and anticipation from a teaser campaign released on Instagram, it has been revealed that Reynolds will be the latest celebrity responsible for promoting the destination to an international audience.
In the video, Reynolds appears to be skydiving down onto Yas Island as the words “Welcome Ryan” are illuminated on the W Abu Dhabi Hotel, his intended landing spot. However, with his usual slapstick charm, the actor misses his mark, and lands directly on top of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Circuit. Reynolds then declares that he has been an actor, a producer and a Welsh football club owner, before his voice is drowned out by the roar of F1 cars around him.
A comment about his “mission to create the first ever Yas Island…” at the end leaves us all wondering what might come next for Reynolds’ partnership with Yas Island Abu Dhabi.
