Abu Dhabi and Dubai Ranked Among World’s Top 5 Cities to Work in

Dubai and Abu Dhabi have emerged as leading destinations for global professionals. These two emirates have secured the third and fourth positions in a recent report by management consultancy Boston Consulting Group (BCG). The Dream Destinations and Mobility Trends report. These rankings were based on the preferences of 150,000 individuals across 188 countries from October to December.

The report underscores the growing appeal of the UAE as a destination for skilled workers. The UAE's recovery from pandemic-driven economic challenges, as well as government initiatives to attract talent and support business expansion, have contributed to the UAE's shift towards an employers' market.

BCG's findings also highlight the strong preference among professionals in the UAE and Saudi Arabia for working within the GCC region over opportunities in Europe or the US. The report estimates that up to 800 million professionals worldwide could be actively seeking job opportunities abroad.

Where else do professionals love to work? In the BCG’s report, London maintains its top spot globally, followed by Amsterdam, with New York rounding off the top five. Other cities in the top ten include Berlin, Singapore, Barcelona, Tokyo, and Sydney. Dubai and Abu Dhabi were the only cities in the Middle East to make it onto this list.
