Qualiphi Acquires Career Club to Expand AI Employment Services

Cairo-based career technology company Qualiphi has acquired the Career Club platform from iCareer in a six-figure deal completed in the second half of 2025.

The acquisition forms part of plans to expand AI-powered career guidance and employment services across Egypt and the wider Middle East. Career Club was originally developed as one of the region’s early virtual career centre platforms aimed at connecting universities with employers and helping students transition into the labour market.

The platform previously hosted initiatives with organisations including the International Labour Organization, UK Aid and the German Agency for International Cooperation.

Following the acquisition, Qualiphi will integrate Career Club into its broader platform used by universities and institutions across Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Existing partners include the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Ain Shams University, Arab Academy for Science Technology and Maritime Transport and the Universities of Canada.

Partnerships in Egypt supported more than 500,000 students in 2025, while collaborations with three universities in the Gulf reached more than 7,000 students from ten nationalities.

The platform focuses on services including career guidance, skills development, CV preparation and digital career events designed to connect graduates with employers.

The expansion comes as the number of graduates continues to grow. Data from the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics shows that higher education graduates reached 743,000 in 2024, representing a 15% increase year-on-year. Egypt’s labour force stood at 34.7 million in the third quarter of 2025, up 3.3% compared with the previous year.

Plans for the next phase include adding partnerships with 15 universities in Egypt by 2026 and expanding services into additional Gulf markets.
