Crown Prince Camel Festival Returns With USD 13.3 Million Prizes
The 11-day event will feature 248 races and a new championship cup for Saudi competitors.
The eighth Crown Prince Camel Festival will return to Taif Camel Square in Taif Governorate from September 3rd to 13th, 2026, bringing together competitors from Saudi Arabia and abroad for 248 camel races and a total prize pool exceeding USD 13.3 million.
The 11-day festival will feature morning and evening racing sessions across the sport's approved camel racing categories.
According to Saudi Camel Sports, this year's edition will introduce the Crown Prince Camel Festival Cup for Saudi participants for the first time. The new competition carries a SAR 500,000 prize for the competitor who earns the highest number of points across the festival's races.
The festival has established itself as one of the world's largest camel racing events and has previously set four Guinness World Records in 2018, 2019, and 2024. These include records for the largest camel racing participation and the largest illuminated camel sculpture, created using 51,200 light sources.
The event has also received the Makkah Excellence Award in the Economic Excellence category.
