JD Malat Gallery Dubai Names Seven Finalists for 'Made in the UAE'
Selected from more than 300 submissions, seven UAE-based artists will present new work in a group exhibition opening June 11th 2026 at JD Malat Gallery Dubai in Downtown Dubai.
JD Malat Gallery Dubai has announced the finalists of Made in the UAE, a curatorial initiative launched in October 2025 to spotlight emerging artistic voices across the Emirates. The open call drew more than 300 submissions from artists residing in the country. A jury panel expanded the original selection to seven artists, citing the exceptional quality and range of work received. The selected artists are Ahmed Emad (UAE/Egypt), Anila Ashraf (Pakistan), Camelia Mohebi (UAE), Elizaveta Pugacheva (Russia), Samo Shalaby (Egypt/Palestine), Sasan Nasernia (Iran), and Yousif Albadi (Sudan). The panel included Zina Khair, Co-Founder of the Khair Art Collection; Roxane Zand, Founder of Zand Fine Arts and former Deputy Chairman of Sotheby's Middle East; Ali Mohammadioun, Founder of E Plus A Atelier; and Jean-David Malat, Founder of JD Malat Gallery. The exhibition opens on June 11th 2026 at JD Malat Gallery Dubai, Act 2 Tower, Downtown Dubai.
