Unified Digital Water Services Platform to Launch in October
The platform will offer 49 drinking water and wastewater services online, with electronic payment and collection built in.
The Holding Company for Water and Wastewater will launch a unified digital platform for drinking water and wastewater services at the beginning of October, giving citizens access to 49 services online.
The platform will integrate electronic payment and collection systems and is intended to reduce the time needed to complete procedures while limiting the need for customers to visit service centres.
Holding Company Chairman Mostafa El Shimi said the project will create a single digital system for customer services and commercial operations across the company and its 25 subsidiaries, with the rollout taking place gradually. Existing commercial systems at six subsidiaries will also be upgraded.
The new platform is designed to standardise procedures across water and wastewater companies while accommodating the different technologies already in use. The phased launch will allow technical systems and services to be tested and adjusted before wider deployment.
The system will also provide updated performance data from affiliated companies to support planning, monitoring and decision-making.
The platform is being developed with Misr Advanced Systems Company as part of the Ministry of Housing’s wider push to expand digital access to public utility services.
