Saudi Arabia Launches PPP Tender for 50 Public Parks
The 15-year concession programme covers parks across Eastern Province, Jeddah and Madinah.
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Municipalities and Housing and National Centre for Privatisation and Public Private Partnerships have launched a public-private partnership tender covering the rehabilitation, operation, and maintenance of 50 public parks across the Kingdom.
The programme spans parks located in the Eastern Province, Jeddah, and Madinah under a 15-year rehabilitate, operate, maintain, and transfer concession framework.
According to the entities, the project is intended to expand private sector participation within municipal park operations and long-term asset management.
The authorities have opened the expressions of interest and requests for qualification stage, inviting both local and international investors to participate in the tender process.
Statements of Qualification are scheduled to be submitted by July 2nd, 2026.
Project details indicate that the scope includes rehabilitation of park infrastructure, upgrades to green and recreational areas, utility enhancement works, landscaping, cleaning services, pest control operations, and quality assurance systems.
The programme will also include the introduction of commercial facilities alongside the procurement and maintenance of operational equipment across the parks.
According to the ministry and the National Centre for Privatisation and Public Private Partnerships, the project aims to improve park accessibility, operational quality, and visitor experience while increasing commercial activity and community engagement within municipal spaces.
