Volcanic Eruption Disrupts Dubai & Abu Dhabi Flights to Jakarta
Emirates has cancelled EK356 and delayed EK358, while Etihad’s EY474 and return EY475 have also been affected.
Flights from Dubai and Abu Dhabi to Jakarta have been disrupted following an eruption at Mount Anak Krakatau in Indonesia, with volcanic ash affecting airspace around the Indonesian capital.
Emirates has cancelled its Dubai-Jakarta EK356 service, while EK358 has been delayed. Etihad has also delayed its Abu Dhabi-Jakarta EY474 service, with the return EY475 flight also affected.
The disruption comes after Mount Anak Krakatau, located in the Sunda Strait between Java and Sumatra, erupted repeatedly, sending ash towards Jakarta. Soekarno-Hatta International Airport temporarily suspended flights, affecting hundreds of domestic and international services.
