Salla Acquires Saudi Fintech Paylink to Expand Payment Services
The deal brings Paylink’s regulated payment infrastructure into Salla’s platform for online and in-person transactions.
Saudi e-commerce platform Salla has acquired Paylink, a Saudi fintech licensed by the Saudi Central Bank to provide e-commerce payment services.
The acquisition brings Paylink’s payment infrastructure directly into Salla’s merchant platform, expanding the company beyond online storefronts and operations into regulated financial services across digital and physical sales channels.
The combined offering is intended to give merchants a more unified way to receive and manage payments, including online transactions, point-of-sale payments and future smart POS options such as SoftPOS. Paylink also supports multiple currencies, international sales and a range of payment methods.
Salla said the move is part of a broader push to build financial services directly around the needs of its merchants, rather than treating payments as a separate layer.
“Financial services are a natural extension of this vision,” Salla Founder and CEO Nawaf Hariri said, adding that the acquisition would help the company build more integrated payment tools for merchants selling inside and outside Saudi Arabia.
Paylink also carries the “Saudi Tech” designation, while its regulatory and technical infrastructure gives Salla a direct foothold in licensed payments.
Salla says it now serves more than 65,000 active subscriber stores, with total sales volume exceeding SR 45 billion.
