Dubai’s Delightful Seasonal Outdoor Markets
Make the most of the cooler seasons’ air and enjoy some well-deserved retail therapy outdoors.
These beautifully cool days are the perfect reason to spend some time outside this week; you know you’ll regret it when summer comes around and all you want to do is hop from one air-conditioned place to another. Strike while the air is fresh, and enjoy some of Dubai’s best seasonal outdoor markets and spaces...
The Ripe Market
Police Academy Park
The Ripe Market was one of the first craft markets to set up in Dubai, hosted in idyllic outdoor locations across the city during these lovely cooler months. The market can be found at the Police Academy Park each weekend, with lots of local vendors selling allsorts; from fresh produce and organic treats to handmade gifts and jewellery. With a soundtrack of live music filling the air, it's a great place to make the most of the outdoors.
BAY by Social
Dubai Festival City
You can bet on family-friendly fun at BAY by Social, right beside the water outside Dubai Festival City Mall. With food trucks galore, and cute coffee counters to boot, you’ll have plenty of energy to fuel you as you try to win prizes from fairground games, or grab some gifts for friends and loved ones from small independent stalls. And with a free sound and light show, and art installations, plus comedy shows and live music, you’re sure not to run out of things to get up to.
Global Village
Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road
The Middle East’s first ever multicultural festival park, Global Village has a huge variety of attractions to get stuck into, right through until April 28th. There are over 250 food options alone, with 3,500 shopping outlets guaranteeing that you’ll need multiple visits to see it all. All of these outlets celebrate the many cultures of the world, giving you a taste (literally) of over 90 different countries and cultures.
Al Seef District
Dubai Creek
Located along one of Dubai’s most storied locations, right beside Dubai Creek, Al Seef is an ideal place to unwind, without having to leave the city at all. This waterside spot is home to restaurants, boutiques and all sorts of cute stalls. Sandwiched between the futuristic city and the timeless ocean, it’s a beautiful spot to go a-wandering with friends or family.
The Beach
Jumeirah Beach Residence
Who doesn’t love a walk along the beach. It’s impossible to imagine not enjoying a stroll along the shore, especially with all the stores you could ever want right beside you. One minute you can be staring out to sea, the next you can be knee-deep in some new boots, or meandering through the seasonal artisan bazaar, with all its unique jewellery stores and food stalls. All this with a nice warm coffee in hand from one of the many cafes lining the promenade.
