Dubai Mallathon Turns Shopping Centres Into Summer Fitness Tracks
You'll be able to run in malls including The Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates.

This August, shopping malls across Dubai are getting a sporty makeover.
In a new city-wide initiative led by Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, seven of Dubai’s biggest malls—including The Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, and City Centre Mirdif—will transform into indoor walking and running zones every morning from 7:00AM to 10:00AM.
Dubbed the 'Dubai Mallathon,' the programme invites residents to kickstart their day with free fitness sessions in fully air-conditioned spaces—expect stretching zones, fitness tracking stations, and nutrition-related offers from participating restaurants and shops.
The initiative is a collaboration between the Ministry of Defence, Dubai Sports Council, and major mall developers, building on Dubai’s wider agenda to support healthier daily routines using the city’s existing infrastructure—even during peak summer.
Participation is free, with registration available online, and a single digital card gives you access to any of the participating malls.
