Saudi Arabia and UAE Establish New Trade Bridge Amid Regional Conflict
Connecting Dammam and Sharjah, a new trade bridge will integrate land and sea shipments into one coordinated system.
The Saudi Ports Authority has announced a new logistics link between the cities of Dammam, Saudi Arabia and Sharjah, UAE aimed at easing supply chain pressures amid escalating regional conflict.
In partnership with UAE's Gulftainer, the new corridor will improve cargo flow between the two port cities by combining sea and land transport into one integrated system, reducing overall delays and transit time, and making shipments more reliable amid ongoing disruptions to the supply chain.
By connecting the cities' ports to inland distribution centres, this trade bridge will also improve the speed and efficiency with which shipments are delivered amid ongoing disruption caused by the effective closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
