'We'll Meet at Sunrise' Wins Best Short Film at Cine Paris

‘We’ll Meet at Sunrise’ has won Best Short Film at the Cine Paris Film Festival, marking another international recognition for the Egyptian short film.

Written and directed by Mohammed Abousoliman, the film offers a contemporary retelling of the ancient Egyptian myth of Isis and Osiris, reworking the story through a modern setting and characters.

The film premiered in June 2026 at the Mumbai International Film Festival and stars Hadil Hassan and Beshir Shousha in the leading roles. Taking place over the course of a single meal, the story explores how restrained tensions can escalate into potentially deadly vengeance.
