Emirates Mars Mission Extended Through 2028
The Hope probe will continue operations through 2028 under a revised mission timeline.
The UAE Space Agency has extended the Emirates Mars Mission, known as the Hope probe, through 2028, setting a revised operational timeline for the spacecraft.
The extension was announced during a press conference dedicated to updates on the mission’s status and current phase. Officials outlined that 2028 has been defined as the new horizon for the probe’s continued scientific operations.
Dr Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Sports and Chairman of the UAE Space Agency, confirmed the extension during the briefing, which focused on recent developments related to the mission.
The Emirates Mars Mission, publicly referred to as the Hope probe in official communications, entered its operational phase following its successful arrival at Mars.
