Saudi writer, director and actress Fatima AlBanawi has been appointed Montblanc’s Regional Brand Ambassador for the Middle East, India and Africa.

Montblanc has named Fatima AlBanawi, the Saudi writer, director and actress, as its Regional Brand Ambassador for the Middle East, India and Africa.
AlBanawi is the founder of Alf Wad Production House and a Harvard graduate with a background in psychology and research on Arab identity. Since her breakout role in Barakah Meets Barakah (2016), she has appeared in Saudi, Egyptian and international productions including AlHamour, Fever Dream, Champions, Route 10, Agent Zero, Paranormal and 60 Minutes. Her directorial debut Basma is due for release on Netflix in 2024. She co-directed and co-wrote the Shahid Original AlShak during the pandemic and contributed Until We See Light to the Red Sea Film Festival anthology Becoming (2021). Her memoir The Other Story grew out of a project collecting thousands of personal narratives.
“We are thrilled to welcome Fatima AlBanawi as our Regional Brand Ambassador,” said Jade Hantouche, Montblanc’s managing director in KSA. “This partnership marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the Maison in the Middle East.” Franck Juhel, president of Montblanc Middle East, India and Africa, said her “natural confidence, uniqueness and inspiring journey” align with the Maison’s values.
AlBanawi said: “I am deeply honored to join Montblanc as Regional Brand Ambassador. From the encouraging notes of my college teacher to the quiet hours spent with my mother as she patiently listened to my earliest drafts, it was obvious that writing has been my way of making sense of the world. To collaborate with a Maison that has, for over a century, celebrated the power of writing is both humbling and inspiring.”
As part of the partnership, she will feature in Montblanc campaigns across the region, appearing with the Maison’s writing instruments, including the Meisterstück, as well as its leather collections.
