Dust-Raising Winds to Sweep Parts of Saudi Arabia Through July 11th

Dust-raising surface winds are expected to affect several regions of Saudi Arabia from Monday, July 6th, through Saturday, July 11th, with reduced horizontal visibility forecast in affected areas, according to the National Center for Meteorology (NCM).

The forecast indicates that active daytime winds will impact parts of the Eastern Province, the Northern Borders Region, Qassim Region, Riyadh Region and Madinah Region throughout the week. The NCM said the winds are expected to reduce horizontal visibility during daytime hours across these areas.

Along the Red Sea coast, dust-raising winds are also forecast along the coastal road linking Yanbu and Jazan through the end of the week. The authority warned that visibility could fall to near zero in some sections depending on local conditions.

The forecast covers both inland and coastal areas between July 6th and 11th, with the strongest wind activity expected during the day.
