Hot & Humid Weather to Continue Across Egypt Through Friday
The Egyptian Meteorological Authority has forecast hot weather, morning fog and intermittent winds across the country.
Hot to extremely hot and humid weather is expected across most of Egypt from Monday through Friday, with high humidity making temperatures feel between 1 and 3 degrees Celsius higher than the actual air temperature, according to the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA).
The authority said conditions will be warm and humid during the early morning before turning very hot and humid across most regions during the day. Along the northern coast, weather will remain hot and humid throughout the forecast period, while nights are expected to stay warm and humid nationwide.
Patchy morning fog is also forecast on some roads leading to and from Greater Cairo, the Nile Delta, the Canal cities, northern Upper Egypt and central Sinai, with occasional dense fog expected to reduce visibility in affected areas. Intermittent winds are also expected across much of the country through Friday.
Maximum temperatures are forecast to reach 35°C to 36°C in Greater Cairo, 30°C to 31°C along the northern coast, 37°C to 40°C in northern Upper Egypt and 40°C to 43°C in southern Upper Egypt. However, apparent temperatures are expected to feel between 1°C and 3°C higher because of elevated humidity.
