Dafencii & Soulja Unite for 'Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire' Anthem.
Two of Sudanese rap's biggest forces collaborate on a new track for the Legendary Pictures’ cinematic Monsterverse.
In anticipation of the release of the sequel to the cinematic blockbuster 'Godzilla vs. Kong,' Riyadh-based record label MDLBEAST brings together two iconic figures of Sudanese rap for a hip-hop banger promoting the follow-up film to Legendary Pictures' cinematic Monsterverse.
The follow up to the movie titled ‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’ delves into the history and origins of Godzilla and Kong, offering further exploration of Skull Island's mysteries and the broader world. Additionally, the film explores an ancient battle that may hold the key to the relationship between these Titans and humankind.
Titled 'Counter Attack,' the track's production is a collaboration between rising Egyptian producer Ismail Nosrat and producer Karim Osman. Together, they create a hard-hitting rap beat, laying the foundation for the two rappers to deliver their dynamic exchange of verses. The production incorporates a minimal sonic structure, thus amplifying the rappers' flows and delivery, resulting in a groovy hip-hop anthem.
The track will be available for streaming on all platforms starting April 11. This coincides with the nationwide theatrical release of the film on April 18. There will be a special performance of the song at the exclusive pre-release event for the movie at VOX Cinemas, Red Sea Mall on April 16.
