Green Riyadh to Hold National Day Tree-Planting Campaign

Green Riyadh will hold a tree-planting and cleanup campaign at Shuaib Umm Qasr on September 23rd to coincide with Saudi National Day celebrations.

The initiative is part of the Green Riyadh programme, overseen by the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, and will focus on hands-on environmental work including tree planting and site cleanup.

Participation is open to volunteers from across the community, with both men and women able to take part. Volunteer certificates will be issued in recognition of participants’ contributions.

The campaign is intended to encourage community involvement in environmental activities while supporting wider efforts around sustainability and urban greening.

Green Riyadh said the initiative also aims to strengthen a culture of volunteerism through practical participation in environmental service.
