Saudi Arabia Launches 2026 Hajj Guide for Domestic Pilgrims

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has launched a new awareness guide for domestic pilgrims ahead of the 2026 Hajj season.

The guide is intended to support pilgrims throughout their journey by outlining organisational procedures, travel guidance, safety measures, and instructions tied to performing rituals within approved regulations.

According to the ministry, the guide covers each stage of the pilgrimage process, beginning with pre-departure preparations, travel requirements, gathering points, and transportation arrangements to the holy sites.

It also includes detailed instructions for using the Nusuk card, which allows entry into the holy sites and the Grand Mosque, alongside guidance on accessing its digital version.

The publication additionally provides contact details for service providers, the Pilgrims Care Center, and emergency and health services.

Illustrated maps and organisational schedules are included to explain movement routes between the holy sites, grouping procedures, transportation arrangements, and the sequence of rituals during the Hajj days.

Dedicated awareness sections also address crowd management, heat stress prevention, public cleanliness, cooperation with organisers, and other safety-related guidance tied to the pilgrimage experience.

The initiative was developed in partnership with several government entities including the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services, and the Ministry of Media through the Unified Hajj Media Operations Center.

Additional participating bodies included the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites, the General Authority for Awqaf, the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, and Mutahed.
