President El-Sisi Congratulates EgyptAir on Skytrax Awards
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi congratulated EgyptAir on winning Skytrax’s World’s Most Improved Airline award and entering the global top 50 at 46th place.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has congratulated EgyptAir and the country’s civil aviation sector after the national carrier was named the World’s Most Improved Airline at the 2026 World Airline Awards.
Skytrax ranked EgyptAir first in its global Most Improved Airline category, ahead of Air India and Royal Jordanian Airlines. The airline also climbed to 46th place in the World’s Top 100 Airlines ranking, up from 69th in 2025.
In a statement, President El-Sisi described the result as an achievement for Egypt’s civil aviation sector and said it reflected continued efforts to improve service quality and operational efficiency.
EgyptAir also won Best Cabin Crew in Africa, Most Improved Airline in Africa and Best Economy Class in Africa at this year’s awards.
The World Airline Awards are based on an annual international passenger survey conducted by Skytrax. The 2026 survey ran from September 2025 to August 2026 and included responses from travellers of more than 100 nationalities.
