UAE Flag Garden Returns as Dubai Launches National Month Programme

Brand Dubai will organise a month-long National Month programme from November 3rd to December 2nd, bringing together UAE Flag Day and National Day through a series of public activities and cultural initiatives.

The programme will include the return of the UAE Flag Garden at the Umm Suqeim beachfront near the Burj Al Arab. The annual installation transforms part of the shoreline into a large-scale artwork made from UAE flags.

The Flag Garden has been held each year since 2014, with previous editions featuring portraits of national leaders and, in 2021, the Expo logo. In 2025, 11,000 flags were arranged across a 60 by 90 metre area to form portraits of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum. The theme and number of flags for the 2026 edition have not yet been announced.

The programme begins on UAE Flag Day on November 3rd and continues through National Day on December 2nd. Flag Day was introduced in 2013 and marks the anniversary of the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan becoming President in 2004, while National Day marks the formation of the UAE federation in 1971.
