'Happiness Card' Offers Discounts to Emirati Newlyweds in Dubai

A Happiness Card offering discounts, special offers and exclusive benefits has been introduced for Emirati couples enrolled in the Dubai Weddings initiative.

The card will be provided free of charge under a memorandum of understanding signed between the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA Dubai) and the Community Development Authority (CDA). The initiative forms part of the Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum Family Programme and supports the objectives of Dubai Social Agenda 33, which focuses on strengthening family stability and improving quality of life.

Through the new scheme, eligible couples can access a range of offers and benefits designed to support them throughout the wedding process, removing some of the financial and practical pressures associated with marriage.

The partnership also includes awareness campaigns to introduce beneficiaries to the card's features and explain how they can make use of its benefits. During the signing ceremony, the Happiness Card was presented to two newly married couples whose wedding dates coincided with the agreement.

According to the participating entities, the card is available exclusively to beneficiaries of the Dubai Weddings initiative and is issued at no cost through GDRFA Dubai. The initiative is intended to simplify the wedding journey for Emirati couples while supporting broader efforts to encourage family formation under the Year of the Family.
