Saudi Industrial Production Index Up 8.9% in October 2025

Mining and quarrying rose 11.5% and manufacturing 5.5% year on year, with oil output at 10 million barrels per day.

Saudi Industrial Production Index Up 8.9% in October 2025

Saudi Arabia’s Industrial Production Index increased 8.9% in October 2025 compared with October 2024. The General Authority for Statistics reported a 0.3% month on month rise, with gains across mining and quarrying, manufacturing, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, and water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities.

Mining and quarrying rose 11.5% year on year, alongside an increase in crude oil production to 10 million barrels per day, compared with 8.9 million barrels per day in October 2024. On a monthly basis, the mining and quarrying sub-index increased 0.4%. Manufacturing grew 5.5% year on year, including an 8% rise in coke and refined petroleum products and an 8.1% increase in chemicals and chemical products. Month on month, manufacturing rose 0.9%, with coke and refined petroleum products up 1.5% and chemicals and chemical products up 2.7%.

Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply increased 5.1% year on year, but fell 5.8% compared with September 2025. Water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities increased 8.5% year on year and 0.6% month on month. Oil activities increased 10.8% year on year and 0.6% month on month, while non-oil activities rose 4.4% year on year and decreased 0.3% month on month.
