Ras Al Khaimah Reveals Record-Breaking New Year’s Eve Fireworks Plan
Two displays will span Corniche Al Qawasim and the coast from Marjan Island to Al Hamra, targeting a new Guinness record.
The Ras Al Khaimah New Year’s Eve Festival will stage a 15 minute fireworks and drone show spanning six kilometres from Marjan Island to Al Hamra, targeting a new Guinness record. The production will deploy more than 2,300 drones, including pyro and laser drones, integrating lasers with advanced pyrotechnics to create large scale formations across the coastline. Organisers stated the celebrations will culminate with the launch of the largest single firework planned for the event. The programme features two fireworks displays: one above Corniche Al Qawasim and a signature 15 minute show over Marjan Island and Al Hamra bay. The main display is set to rank among the most expansive globally in length and scale, with illuminated drone formations complementing the fireworks across the six kilometre stretch. A free entry festival at Al Hamra will welcome residents and visitors with live entertainment, food trucks and carnival style activities, with an international line up on the main stage. Multiple parking zones will be available around the festival area, including a dedicated zone for caravans and camping. Event goers are required to register their vehicles in advance at the raknye website to access a designated parking zone and receive information on entry and exit routes. Advanced vehicle registration is mandatory for visitors and will determine which parking zone they can access.
