Ramadan Campaign Targets AED 1 Billion Food Support for Children
The ‘Edge of Life’ Ramadan campaign aims to raise AED 1 billion to provide urgent food support for five million children affected by conflict and disasters.
The ‘Edge of Life’ Ramadan campaign has set a target of AED 1 billion to provide urgent food support for five million children at risk of hunger worldwide. The initiative was launched under the directives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and is focused on delivering assistance during the holy month of Ramadan.
The campaign prioritises children in vulnerable communities affected by natural disasters and conflict, directing resources toward immediate food relief. Organisers said the effort centres on reaching children facing acute food insecurity and humanitarian hardship.
Emirati businessman Mohammed Juma Al Naboodah pledged AED 40 million as an early contribution to the campaign. In a statement, he described it as an honour to support efforts aimed at rescuing five million children from hunger.
Donations can be made through the official website, edgeoflife.ae, via a dedicated call centre, by bank transfer to an Emirates Islamic Bank account, through SMS contributions using the UAE’s telecom operators, and on digital platforms including the DubaiNow app, YallaGive and Jood.
