Unified Health Screening Service Links Residency & Work Exams in Dubai
New digital system merges residency and occupational health checks in Dubai.
Dubai Health has introduced a Unified Health Screening service that combines residency medical fitness and occupational health examinations into a single digital pathway, with residency permits issued automatically once medical results are finalised in Dubai.
Through a smart platform, applicants submit requests based on their profession, and the system determines the required tests, enabling all procedures to be completed in one visit. The integrated model connects databases across relevant authorities to reduce duplication, speed up processing and support preventive planning in line with population and economic growth.
The project was developed under the City Makers initiative in collaboration with the Dubai Health Authority, the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs — Dubai, Dubai Municipality, the Supreme Legislation Committee and the Department of Finance. It aligns with the Dubai Social Agenda 33 and the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
The integration enables secure, real-time information sharing to ensure accuracy and faster issuance of residency permits, while also supporting inspection teams with up-to-date occupational health data during field operations.
The service is currently available at Dubai Health medical fitness centres in Al Garhoud, Al Nahda, Al Karama, Al Yalayis, Bur Dubai, Jebel Ali Free Zone and Zabeel, as well as at Smart Salem Centres. Authorities said additional centres will be added and operational capacity increased in the next phase.
City Makers, launched in 2014, is designed to enhance cross-government cooperation through shared task forces that develop integrated public services aimed at improving the overall customer journey.
