Qiddiya Rail to Link Riyadh Airport & Qiddiya City In 30 Minutes
The Royal Commission for Riyadh City opened expressions of interest for the first phase. Once complete, the rail system will integrate with Riyadh’s wider public transport network.

Plans are underway for a high-speed rail line that will connect King Salman International Airport, the King Abdullah Financial District, and Qiddiya City in under 30 minutes, with trains that are designed to operate at speeds of up to 250 km/h.
The Royal Commission for Riyadh City, in coordination with the National Centre for Privatisation and Public-Private Partnerships and Qiddiya Investment Company, has opened registration for the Expression of Interest stage of the Qiddiya High-Speed Rail Project. The first phase is set to be delivered through a public-private partnership model, with registration open to specialised companies and investors until October 12th, 2025.
Once complete, the rail system will integrate with Riyadh’s wider public transport network. The project forms part of the capital’s transport infrastructure expansion, aimed at improving mobility and supporting sustainable growth in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
