Alexandria Short Film Festival Pays Tribute to the Historic Tram
For its 12th edition, the annual Alexandria Short Film Festival imagines the city's historic tram windows as cinema screens.
This year’s Alexandria Short Film Festival turns its focus to the city’s historic tram at a moment when many residents are preparing to say goodbye. The 12th edition invites filmmakers to reimagine the tram’s windows as frames through which generations have watched the city pass by.
The programme reflects on the tram’s place in Alexandrian consciousness. The official poster by Kyrollos Maximus visualises this idea, depicting the tram suspended in the sky, loosely tethered by overhead wires, accompanied by a video exploring its presence in the lives of locals.
Alexandria Short Film Festival is set to take place from April 27th to May 2nd. The film program has not yet been announced.-8a81b9d3-4547-49e9-b167-e5eaee62130a.png)
