New On-Ramp From Ramses Square to Ease Cairo Traffic
Connecting the square to 6th of October Bridge, the project is part of the governorate's broader infrastructure plan to improve traffic flow across key routes in central Cairo.
A new on-ramp connecting Ramses Square to Cairo’s 6th of October Bridge is set to be constructed to ease chronic congestion in one of the city’s busiest intersections. The new ramp will allow vehicles to access the bridge directly from Ramses Square, diverting heavy traffic from surrounding side streets. Coordination is underway with the Roads Directorate and relevant engineering departments to begin implementation soon. The initiative comes within ongoing efforts to modernise Cairo’s transport network and enhance connectivity between downtown and major districts. Further details on the construction schedule and completion timeline are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
