Dubai International Airport Records 95.2 Million Passengers in 2025
DXB reports 95.2 million passengers in 2025, marking its busiest year and highest annual international traffic globally.
Dubai International Airport handled 95.2 million passengers in 2025, a 3.1% increase compared to the previous year, marking the busiest annual performance in its history and the highest annual international passenger traffic recorded by any airport, according to Dubai Airports.
December was the busiest month on record, with 8.7 million passengers, up 6.1% year on year. The fourth quarter also set a new high, reaching 25.1 million passengers, a 5.9% rise from the same period in 2024. Total flight movements for the year reached 454,800, up 3.3%, including 118,000 movements in the fourth quarter, with an average of 214 passengers per movement. The annual load factor stood at 77.6%.
Baggage volumes reached 86.75 million in 2025, up 4.95%. Around 89% of arriving baggage was delivered within 45 minutes. Mishandled baggage performance was recorded at 99.75%, equivalent to 2.47 mishandled bags per 1,000 passengers. Passenger processing times remained consistent, with 99.35% of departing passengers clearing passport control in under 10 minutes, 98.8% of arriving passengers clearing passport control in under 15 minutes, and 98.9% clearing security in under five minutes.
India remained the largest country market, accounting for 11.9 million passengers, followed by Saudi Arabia with 7.5 million, the United Kingdom with 6.3 million, Pakistan with 4.3 million and the United States with 3.3 million. Traffic from China rose 16.6% to 2.5 million, Russia increased 6% to 2.8 million, Turkey grew 6.7% to 2.2 million, Egypt expanded 14.3% to 1.8 million and Italy rose 12.5% to 1.6 million.
London remained the busiest city destination at 3.9 million passengers, followed by Riyadh at 3 million, Mumbai and Jeddah at 2.4 million each, and New Delhi at 2.2 million. By the end of 2025, the airport was connected to 291 destinations across 110 countries and served by 108 international airlines.
