Abu Dhabi International Book Fair Shifts From April to September
Abu Dhabi’s annual book fair rescheduled to September 13th–18th, aligning with publishing schedules and travel logistics. The change follows consultations with publishers and partners worldwide.
The 35th edition of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF) is now slated for September 13th to 18th, 2026 a shift from its usual April place in the calendar.
Organised by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre under the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi, the decision to move the fair followed consultations with international partners, publishing houses and relevant UAE authorities about travel mobility, participation and logistical planning for exhibitors and guests.
The fair will continue to serve as a meeting point for publishers, authors, librarians and readers, maintaining its role within the global publishing calendar.
This edition will also incorporate the ceremony for the 20th Sheikh Zayed Book Award into the programme.
The Abu Dhabi International Book Fair typically attracts participants from across the publishing industry worldwide, combining professional exchange with public-facing cultural programming centred on books and ideas.
