Qatari Cultural-Tech Startup Rawi Al Kotob Expands Into Saudi Market
Rawi Al Kotob spent three months refining its digital storytelling for Saudi Arabia’s growing market. With a new local lead and fresh content, the Qatari startup is ready to test new ground.

Qatari cultural-tech startup Rawi Al Kotob is moving into Saudi Arabia after completing a three-month accelerator organised by Qatar’s Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission with Falak Investment. The program helped Rawi adjust its content and approach to fit Saudi Arabia’s rising interest in Arabic digital stories.
In a LinkedIn update, Rawi said the accelerator period was crucial for fine-tuning its business model and digital offerings to match Saudi Arabia’s culture and growing demand for local content.
Founded in 2016 in Doha, Rawi Al Kotob creates Arabic audiobooks, podcasts, documentaries and articles with a focus on making Arabic knowledge easier to access online. The company looks to combine high-quality production with storytelling that connects across the MENA region.
With plans to partner with platforms like Storytel and Audible, Rawi is positioning itself to meet Saudi Arabia’s growing interest in digital Arabic content.
