Arcapita Plans $1.5 Billion GCC Logistics Investment
The Bahrain-based investment firm will deploy the capital over 24 months into industrial and logistics real estate across the Gulf.
Bahrain-based alternative investment firm Arcapita plans to invest an additional $1.5 billion in industrial and logistics real estate across the Gulf Cooperation Council over the next 24 months.
Announced during Gateway Gulf 2026 in Bahrain, the programme will focus on the development and acquisition of purpose-built facilities for regional and international occupiers. The investment builds on more than $2 billion in industrial real estate assets already managed by the firm across the region.
The expansion will be led by Lintara Properties, Arcapita’s industrial and logistics real estate development and asset management platform. Launched in October 2025, Lintara oversees more than $2 billion in assets and manages around 6.6 million square feet across 32 properties in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
Arcapita said demand for modern industrial and logistics infrastructure is being driven by supply chain resilience, regional self-sufficiency and new industrial activity, while institutional-quality supply remains limited in several GCC markets.
In 2026, the firm began construction of the 1.4 million-square-metre ASMO logistics hub at King Salman Energy Park in Saudi Arabia. It also completed a 30,000-square-metre purpose-built facility for DSV in Jebel Ali Free Zone and broke ground on a further 20,000-square-metre Grade A logistics centre for DP World at the same location.
