Abu Dhabi Investment Council Commits $1 Billion to Dymon Asia

Abu Dhabi Investment Council has reportedly committed around $1 billion to Singapore-based hedge fund Dymon Asia Capital, with the investment being allocated in tranches as the firm expands its strategies and geographic reach.

Dymon Asia’s assets under management reached $9 billion by July 31st, significantly ahead of an earlier projection that placed the firm at around $5 billion by the end of 2026. Its flagship Dymon Asia Multi Strategy Investment fund is up 7.5% year to date, despite falling 6.5% in July during a broader market selloff.

The hedge fund is expanding beyond its existing London operation, adding investment teams in South Korea, Hong Kong and India while building out its commodities and macro trading capabilities.

The reported allocation also adds to Abu Dhabi Investment Council’s growing exposure to hedge funds. The sovereign investor has previously backed firms including ExodusPoint Capital Management and London-based Deem Global.
