‘CONTINUUM 26’ Exhibit to Showcase New Media Art in Diriyah
The exhibition will run from September 3rd to November 7th, presenting works developed through Diriyah Art Futures’ year-long emerging artists programme.
Diriyah Art Futures will present ‘CONTINUUM 26’ in Diriyah, Riyadh, from September 3rd to November 7th, 2026, showcasing new works by participants in the second edition of its Emerging New Media Artists Programme.
The exhibition is the second instalment in an annual series dedicated to emerging voices in new media and digital art. The featured works were developed over the course of a year-long educational programme combining artistic practice with research, production and exhibition support.
Under the mentorship of Louis-Philippe Demers and Rick Treweek, participating artists worked across formats including installation, light, sound, moving image, virtual reality, mixed reality and AI-generated projects. The wider programme explores fields such as artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality, sound, cinema and digital archives.
‘CONTINUUM 26’ is structured around four thematic strands: memory as a living process; systems of power and optimisation; the body, perception and presence; and repetition, rhythm and collective experience. Together, the works examine questions including the relationship between physical and artificial realities, organic and synthetic systems, human and artificial intelligence, labour, embodiment and endurance.
Diriyah Art Futures operates under Saudi Arabia’s Museums Commission and focuses on artistic practice at the intersection of art, science and technology. Its programming combines exhibitions, education and research around new media and digital art.
