Karim El Shenawy & Hisham Maged Team Up for Ramadan Series ‘17 Meters’
The upcoming Ramadan 2027 drama marks the first collaboration between the director and actor.
Director Karim El Shenawy is set to return to the Ramadan drama season in 2027 with a new series titled ‘17 Meters’, starring Hisham Maged. El Shenawy confirmed that the project will mark his first collaboration with Maged, who takes on the lead role in the upcoming production.
The announcement follows El Shenawy's last Ramadan television outing in 2025 with ‘Lam Shamsiya’, which starred Amina Khalil, Ahmed El Saadany and Mohamed Shahin, alongside an ensemble cast. The series received widespread attention during the season for its socially driven storyline.
Meanwhile, Maged is currently appearing on stage in ‘Khiyal Marid’ at Teatro Arkan. The production also stars Mohamed Abdel Rahman and Hanady Mehanna, and is directed by Mohamed Mohamady.
