UAE’s First Sandy Equestrian Track Opens in Hatta
The launch of Hatta’s first sandy equestrian track provides amateurs and professionals with a safe, scenic riding experience, while boosting local tourism and preserving Emirati equestrian heritage.
The first sandy equestrian track in Hatta has opened, offering a 2.54-kilometre route built to international standards for both amateur and professional riders. Launched by Dubai Municipality as part of the project’s first phase, the three-metre-wide track winds through Hatta’s mountainous landscape, combining safety with a sense of adventure.
Riders can bring their own horses or hire locally to explore the route, which has been developed to support equestrian enthusiasts while boosting Hatta’s appeal as a tourism destination. The initiative also aims to preserve horsemanship as part of Emirati heritage and create new economic opportunities for the surrounding community.
