Dalma Team to Compete in 2027 Hexagon Global Padel Series
Roster includes world number ones Agustin Tapia and Arturo Coello, plus Sofia Araujo and Giulia Dal Pozzo in the women’s team.
A new Abu Dhabi-based padel team named Dalma has been formed to compete in the inaugural 2027 Hexagon Global Padel Series, the first official team-format tour held under the supervision of the International Padel Federation. The season-ending round will take place in Abu Dhabi.
Dalma’s men’s line-up features Argentina’s Agustin Tapia and Spain’s Arturo Coello, currently ranked world number one. Tapia has won 65 career titles, while Coello has 58 and is the youngest player to reach world number one in padel. Their participation marks a return to Abu Dhabi, where they won the Modon Global Padel Masters in 2023, part of the World Padel Tour professional circuit.
In the women’s team, Portugal’s Sofia Araujo and Italy’s Giulia Dal Pozzo will compete for Dalma. Araujo has reached a career-high of world number six and holds four major titles, including three on the Premier Padel circuit. In 2026, Dal Pozzo became the first Italian female player to reach a semi-final at a major Premier Padel event.
The team is named after Dalma Island, a historic island in Abu Dhabi with archaeological evidence of human settlement dating back more than 7000 years and a legacy as a regional pearling centre. The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi will organise the series finale in partnership with the International Padel Federation.
