Final World Trade Centre Roundabout Bridge Opens October 30th
The two-lane bridge will cut travel time from Al Majlis Street to 2nd December Street from six minutes to one.
The Roads and Transport Authority will open the final bridge of the World Trade Centre Roundabout Development Project on October 30th, completing the major construction works under the AED 696 million scheme.
The two-lane bridge extends for 1,000 metres and is designed to accommodate around 3,000 vehicles per hour. It will provide a direct connection from Al Majlis Street towards 2nd December Street.
Once operational, travel time between the two roads is expected to fall from six minutes to one minute. The wider project has delivered five new bridges spanning a combined 5,000 metres, with the junction designed to handle more traffic while reducing delays around the World Trade Centre area.
The October opening marks the completion of the bridge programme, following earlier phases that added connections between 2nd December Street, Sheikh Rashid Street, Al Majlis Street and Sheikh Zayed Road.
