The list features new music by Ma-Beyn, Kiiko and Molotof.
In this edition of our Shreet Cocktail playlist, the SceneNoise team curates a selection of new releases that highlight the best new music released across the MENA region. Spanning various subgenres ranging from alternative to metal and hip-hop, the list focuses on fresh sounds and innovative production regardless of genre or category. The list features new music by Ma-Beyn, Kiiko and Molotof.
On the playlist is the latest track from Palestinian-Egyptian artist Ma-Beyn titled ‘Ya Ghali’. Throughout the 2:30-minute track, Ma-Beyn’s raw vocals are infused with a sense of urgency and sincerity that meshes into a harmonious synergy with the backdrop of incessant synths, drum patterns and warm bass undertones.
We also see the latest single from up-and-coming Cairene artist Kiiko with his track ‘Strong Enough’. In this track, Kiiko’s lyrics delve even deeper into themes of introspection and melancholy. He questions himself, struggling to find acceptance and peace with his surroundings. His deeply personal lyrics offer a glimpse into the existential unease he’s experiencing.
Further along the playlist are new releases from Molotof and Fayrouz Karawya on ‘El Lela Gamela’, Kazdoura with ‘Khayal’ and Tamtam with ‘8 to 8’.
