Saudi Intercepts Five Hostile Drones Near Prince Sultan Air Base
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defense said its air defense systems intercepted and destroyed five hostile drones near Prince Sultan Air Base.
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defense said its air defense systems intercepted and destroyed five hostile drones near Prince Sultan Air Base, a key military facility southeast of Riyadh, according to the state‑run Saudi Press Agency.
The statement described the intruding drones as “hostile” and said they were shot down before causing any damage or casualties.
The base, which hosts Saudi military assets as well as logistics and support elements for foreign partners, including the United States, has been a focal point of regional tensions amid an ongoing escalation of missile and drone activity across the Middle East.
