Your Favourite Cartoons Just Took Over Zayed International Airport
The characters appeared across the terminal alongside Etihad cabin crew in a special airport activation.
Ahead of the Eid Al Adha rush and the start of summer travel season, travellers passing through Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport were met with an unusually animated boarding crew: Tom and Jerry, Scooby-Doo, and Tweety. In a crossover between Warner Bros. World Yas Island Abu Dhabi and Etihad Airways, the iconic cartoon characters popped up across the airport alongside Etihad cabin crew, surprising kids and cartoon-loving grown ups with photo ops, meet-and-greets and special giveaways. For a few hours, familiar boarding announcements were drowned out by the squeal of a child who’s just spotted Tweety and is dragging their parent halfway across the terminal just to say hi.
