Qatar Financial Centre & Ahli Bank Partner on Fintech Digital Assets

A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) and Ahli Bank Q.P.S.C. to support fintech innovation, digital transformation and the continued development of Qatar’s financial services sector.

The agreement will make use of the QFC Digital Assets Lab to develop digital financial solutions and explore use cases related to digital assets and tokenisation.

Under the partnership, the two organisations will collaborate with technology providers, startups and ecosystem partners to support the development, adoption and commercialisation of emerging financial technologies.

The agreement also includes plans for pilot programmes involving technology firms operating within Qatar Financial Centre, with the aim of accelerating real-world implementation and market readiness for new financial technologies.

Joint workshops, events and knowledge-sharing initiatives are also expected to form part of the collaboration framework to support industry engagement and capability building across the sector.

According to the organisations, ongoing coordination between the two parties is intended to align priorities and identify further opportunities as the partnership develops.

The agreement additionally supports broader efforts to strengthen Qatar’s fintech ecosystem and encourage financial technology companies to establish and expand operations within Qatar Financial Centre.
