The Event Security Committee has completed preparations for the Eid al-Adha period with a large-scale deployment of security, traffic, rescue, and emergency response units across Dubai. According to the committee, the operation includes 1,642 security patrols, two helicopters, 160 ambulatory points, and 208 Civil Defence vehicles positioned throughout the emirate to support public safety and traffic flow during the holiday.
The plan covers major mosques and prayer grounds alongside intensified patrols across main roads, tourist destinations, commercial centres, and open markets. The operation also includes 37 land rescue patrols, 29 marine security boats, five marine rescue boats, 50 bicycle patrols, six operations rooms, and 24 small cranes.
Additional emergency resources include four chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear response units supported by 11 hospitals and outpatient clinics. The security and traffic operation is being coordinated with the Roads and Transport Authority and includes expanded public transport capacity through 106 trains, 1,400 public buses, 55 marine transport vehicles, 14,500 taxis, and 18,500 luxury limousine vehicles.
The plan also includes three traffic diversion vehicles and 10 traffic management and public transport control centres operating during the Eid period. Authorities stated that the Command and Control Centre will operate around the clock to receive reports and coordinate emergency responses.
Residents were advised to reserve emergency communication channels for urgent situations and use non-emergency services for general enquiries. The committee also encouraged residents to report violations through the Police Eye feature on the Dubai Police smart application. Public safety guidance issued during the holiday period included warnings against reckless driving and speeding, alongside advice for jet ski users to avoid crowded beaches and for families to supervise children closely at public beaches.
