What Are Egypt's Biggest Food Exports?

Exported foods brought in a considerable amount of revenue for Egypt in 2026. The top 15 exported foods alone yielded USD 4.16 billion in revenue between January and September. They account for 71% of Egypt’s food exports, which in total have reached USD 5.82 billion in revenue.

Topping the list at USD 670 million are frozen strawberries, which saw a 9% increase in revenue compared to 2025. Coming in second were carbonated beverages, which generated around USD 466 million in export value, a 7% increase from last year.

This was followed by edible oils, which generated USD 398 million, up USD 74 million from last year, or 23%.

Chocolate saw the largest increase in export value, growing 96% from USD 74 million in 2025 to USD 343 million this year. Cocoa prices rose considerably worldwide, and this surge in buyers placed Egypt at number 10 globally in chocolate exports.

Sugar exports rose by 2% to USD 290 million, animal food rose 34% to USD 267 million, and exported juice also rose 21% to USD 220 million. However, not all of Egypt’s exports grew significantly. Cereal and biscuit exports fell by 8%, and flour products declined by a record 21% to $191 million.

Frozen vegetable exports as a whole also declined to USD 192 million from USD 201 million last year. However, pickled olives grew 24% to USD 174 million, and fats and oils rose 42% to USD 152 million in profit.
