UAE Ranks Among Top Countries for Trust in Healthcare
Public confidence in healthcare institutions in the UAE reached around 90%, according to the Edelman Trust in Healthcare Report 2026.
The UAE ranks among the highest globally for public trust in healthcare institutions, according to the Edelman Trust in Healthcare Report 2026.
The study surveyed more than 16,000 respondents across 16 countries, including around 1,000 participants in the UAE. Confidence in local and national health authorities reached approximately 90%, placing the country among the top-performing markets internationally. Hospitals recorded similar trust levels.
Trust extended across the broader healthcare ecosystem, with around 85% of respondents expressing confidence in healthcare providers and a comparable level of trust in government regulators responsible for medicines, vaccines and medical devices.
Other segments also reported high levels of confidence, including local pharmacies at 85% and health technology companies at 86%. Pharmaceutical companies were trusted by 84% of respondents, while consumer health services recorded 85% and private health insurance providers around 82%. The nutrition sector registered slightly lower but still strong confidence at 77%.
