The directive clears debts linked to 66 cases across Sharjah.
Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Federal Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, has ordered the settlement of more than AED 22.7 million in debts related to 66 citizen cases across the emirate.
The directive covers AED 22,710,000 in outstanding obligations and forms part of ongoing measures aimed at easing financial burdens on citizens and supporting family stability. A similar initiative in September settled AED 17,859,829 in debts across 82 cases.
Earlier in 2026, Sheikh Sultan also approved raising monthly social support to AED 17,500 for 4,237 cases registered with the Sharjah Social Services Department, at an annual cost of AED 404.9 million.
Beneficiaries included 3,126 elderly people, 134 widows, 877 divorced women and 100 low-income individuals. The decision also covered 560 employment requests and 672 housing rent cases, alongside follow-up on housing construction applications across Sharjah.
