Five Million Flowers Planted Across Al Ain This Year
Plantings span main roads public squares parks and recreational spaces under urban beautification contracts as part of a wider sustainability strategy.
Al Ain City Municipality has announced its seasonal planting programme, with more than five million flower seedlings being planted across the city as part of this year’s urban beautification cycle. Featuring around 30 species of seasonal flowers and expanding into 40 varieties across 20 colour gradients, the initiative covers main roads, public squares, parks and recreational areas, where seasonal landscaping and decorative installations are used to enhance green coverage and improve the city’s liveability. According to the municipality, field teams operate under a structured seasonal plan that includes soil preparation, species selection, irrigation management and ongoing maintenance supported by automated systems. The initiative forms part of a broader urban strategy aimed at strengthening green spaces, improving environmental balance and reinforcing Al Ain’s identity as a green city destination.
