El-Sisi Honours Helm & Disability Champions at Egypt Forum 2026
The recognition marked 15 years of Helm’s work to expand access, employment and participation for persons with disabilities.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi recognised Helm and its inclusion champions at Egypt Forum 2026 under the ‘Egypt’s Future Makers’ initiative, marking 15 years of the organisation’s work to advance the inclusion of persons with disabilities.
Helm works to improve access to employment and public life by supporting accessible environments, equal opportunities and the removal of barriers that can limit participation. Its programmes focus on practical ways to integrate persons with disabilities into workplaces and wider civic life.
The recognition highlighted persons with disabilities as active participants in national development and future planning, while drawing attention to the role of accessibility and equal-opportunity practices across workplaces and public spaces.
The milestone also marked 15 years of Helm’s work across Egypt, with the organisation continuing to focus on expanding participation and improving accessibility in everyday environments.
